Join a community of parents and kids at Infant and Toddler Play and Learn at Asheville City Preschool!
Are you a parent of a child, ages 3 months – 3 years? Looking to socialize with other infants/toddlers and parents? Yes? Then the Infant and Asheville City Preschool Toddler Play & Learn might be for you!
This 8 week FREE program is funded by Asheville / Buncombe County Smart Start, and includes assessment of your child’s developmental stage. My 16 month old daughter and I did a summer session. We really enjoyed connecting to this resource and it was a nice community. We shared places to take kids, tips on homemade food and kid friendly activities. I learned that children are supposed to go to the dentist at 1 year old and some pediatric dentists in Asheville serve children that age for free. The director gave me lots of pointers about positive discipline and developmental issues to keep an eye on. During the 45 minute sessions at the Haywood Road facility, kids play with you and one another in a safe and fun learning atmosphere full of interesting toys, and children receive free books!
If you are interested, registration starts 21 October, and classes are on Thursday mornings (starting November 5th). Children are separated by age, with infants (3-12 months) attending from 10:30 – 11:15 and toddlers (13-35 months) attending 10:00 – 10:45 or 11:00 – 11:45. Older siblings are welcome to tag along! For more information, contact the director (Grace Ragaller) at 828-350-2932, or email email@example.com.
